There are so many hypnosis techniques that it would be a great injustice to try and sum it up in just one or even billions of articles. However, if I were to take some of the best ideas I have found that has the power to change the effects of any technique or method, then I could easily do that. In and of itself it is a technique. It is mostly a combination of things, but mostly an attitude. This includes the fact that hypnosis is natural and all it really means is an altered state of consciousness. We alter our states of consciousness all the time. For instance, telling someone a story about some experience you had is going to alter both yours and their state of mind at least a little bit. Next is confidence, because it does matter and since hypnosis is something we are all doing at some point in the day, we are already masters of it. However, we are just using it for a purpose now and that is a good thing.

Next is what works for the person you are with. Which is a pretty important one at that. Think of it as a really good conversation. You both have something to bring to it. I hear so many tales of hypnotist trying to make people fit into some box of what hypnosis is or is not and that is just silly. I am not saying you should not perfect your techniques, but rather no technique is perfect and universal without some conditions that need to be met for the same outcome to occur. Instead of creating something artificial, create art, create beauty and have fun. I often find myself making inductions up each and every time I am with someone. It keeps things fresh and fun. Also, keep the client in mind when doing any session or planning out the work. Make it fun and engaging.

Remember everyone is able and can be hypnotized. Otherwise we would not be able to learn. Hypnosis is partially a form of learning and mostly a subjective experience. It is easy to do and anyone can do it. However, the skill comes in when it comes to do anything after that. Sure it requires having the skills to hypnotize someone smoothly and to do it elegantly. Some of it will improve with practice and time, but half of it is confidence. The best way to become excellent and able to use hypnosis elegantly is to start with yourself first. This can be done by using self-hypnosis, noticing naturally occurring states of hypnosis you experience and ones others are experiences. This helps build sensory acuity, which is very important. Also, practicing self-hypnosis and hypnosis techniques on yourself will increase your skill at using hypnosis with others. It is also a great way to come up with ways to do hypnotic work or even just for fun.

ACCELERATED LEARNING TECHNIQUE

Step 1: Imagine one time when you are learning. A time when you are doing it well, you are in the zone. Imagine it as vividly as possible. Imagine it as you are reliving it. See what you saw; hear what you heard, feel what you felt and so on.

Step 2: Double it.

Step 3: Imagine if the feeling were a color or colors, then what would they be.

Step 4: Imagine five situations or times this will be useful.

Step 5: Repeat Step 1 - Step 5 three times for three situations.

HYPNOSIS - POWER STATES: PART 1

Step 1: Imagine one time when you are doing something exceptionally well. Remember it as vividly as possible. See what you saw; hear what you heard, feel what you felt and so on. Imagine it as if you are repeating the memory just how it happened and in full detail.

Step 2: Imagine a control panel somewhere outside of that memory. Kind of like how dvd players are. However, this control panel can do anything you can imagine.

Step 3: Make the mental image of the memory bigger, louder and even more vivid. Think Dolby Surround sound and 3D.

Step 4: Repeat this process with two other situation where you are performing exceptionally well. Make sure these have nothing to do with each other except you are performing exceptionally well.

HYPNOSIS - POWER STATES: PART 2

Step 1: Imagine if those feelings of times of performing exceptionally well were a color or colors, then what would they be. If you need to go through each one, one at a time, then combine them, but keep them separate. For instance, they might be similar, but slightly different and we want to maintain variability.

Step 2: Imagine how you could enjoy this more.

Step 3: Imagine three things (Hint: Learning States and times when you are learning) were this would be useful.

Step 4: Repeat Step 2, Step 3 and do this 3 times.

Step 1: Repeat Power states Part 1 and Part 2, but with times when you are learning.

Step 2: Notice what is the same and what is different.

Step 3: Imagine what the purpose of these exercise was.

Step 4: Imagine what else this could be useful for.

EHE - CHANGE BEHAVIOR - SELF- HYPNOSIS EXERCISE

Step 1 - Think of a time when you where confused, like when you first stated learning something. Imagine it enough until you begin to feel it just a little bit. Now, imagine if that feeling were a color or colors, then what would it be. If you have to guess.

Step 2 - Think of behavior you desire to change. Add that color or colors too the mental image. So, it seems to glow with that color or colors.

Step 3 - Think of a time when you were learning something, you were confused and then all of a sudden it makes sense. Imagine it enough until you begin to feel it just a little bit. Now, imagine if that feeling were a color or colors, then what would it be. If you have to guess.

Step 4 - Think of the behavior you desire to change. Imagine it as vividly as possible and add a little small black square in the middle of it. Add the color or colors from step 3 to the little black box so it glows with it. Now, think of five different things you would rather do than that undesired behavior and add them to the little black box. Make is so the mental images in the little box swishes (literally make the swish noise mentally) over the mental image of the undesired behavior.

Step 5 - Think of an extreme version of the undesired behavior and then immediately think of the funniest or silliest thing you can think of. Repeat three times.

Step 6 - Repeat Step 4 for three other examples. Then think of three examples if could have had happened in the future and notice the difference. If needed repeat Step 5 and then Step 4.

PAST TRANCE - SELF-HYPNOSIS EXERCISE - OVERLAPPING SENSORY EXPERIENCE TO ENHANCE EXPERIENCE

Step 1 - Imagine some time when you experiences a natural state of hypnosis or a self hypnosis experience.

Step 2 - Remember it as vividly as possible.
