Although we often pay little attention to our own body language, the body language we express can convey to other people a great deal about ourselves before we even utter a word. Body language is a reliable indicator of someone's mood. It includes the ways in which we walk, our gestures, and the way in which we respond bodily to the other person. Our attitude is projected through our body language, e.g. a warm smile may project positive feelings and lend to a relaxed atmosphere.
Body language reveals whether or not we have confidence in ourselves. Someone who exudes confidence projects the impression that they are comfortable with themselves. They may move around the room or street using any and all available space looking like they are relaxed and at home. Conversely someone may behave guardedly and confine themselves to a small area.
Most of the message that we communicate during a conversation is conveyed via body language; it manifests itself via actions as different as facial expressions or vocal tone. Our vocal communication includes not only the words we say but the way in which we say them including our vocal timbre, pitch and volume.
Body language encompasses all of the nonverbal signs conveyed when one is interested in another. It maybe playful, show romantic interest or simply sexual. As soon as we you are within eye sight of a person, they are already beginning to form an opinion about us. Body language reveals whether or not we have confidence in ourselves; every movement that we make projects some kind of message to anyone able to observe it.
